The Knox County Comprehensive Land Use and Transportation Plan and Future Land Use Map were adopted by the Knoxville-Knox County Planning Commission on March 7, 2024 and Knox County Commission on April 22, 2024. 

Advance Knox was the planning process used to define a vision to guide growth, land use, transportation, economic prosperity, and quality of life in the County for years to come. The adopted plan is the first integrated land use and transportation plan in Knox County. It is supported by data and was built on the values, needs, and aspirations of people throughout the county.

Final Plan and Map

The Comprehensive Land Use and Transportation Plan defines new types of places for future development, provides an updated land use map and transportation recommendations, identifies priority investment areas for new park facilities, and outlines policy recommendations.
